HORSE
SAFARI AROUND BIJAIPUR & MADHYA PRADESH Day 1 Wel come at Chittorgarh on
the arrival day at Hotel Pratap Palace Chittorgarh. If the client coming by
Chectak Express Train. Than we will receive at station and provide them
transport, change and wash at Hotel Pratap Palace. After breakfast leave for
Hatni Aodhi on the Horse back start from Hanthi Aodhito Pangarh lake. Lunch
on route. We sill be passing through Vindhyachal range. On the route we will
be passing Magodore village is a traditionalBheel tribe. They have been long
back living in the forest cutting the trees. Caring on the head and selling
in the market. They were also doing hunting with bow & Arrows bhil are
highly honored in Mewar state for their important role as soldiers aiding
Maharana Pratap Singh in the battle of Holdighati for. The freedom form
Mughal empireship of Mughal Akbar in the 16th century. Village we will be
crossing Barkheda, Bhimpuria &Paler. After Paler we will ride on the
bank of dam. Modia Mahadave. Village paler is a traditional Jat village.
They do agriculture and wear traditional clothes and ornaments. Overnight at
Pangarh lakes. One can have a boat ride and if they want they can swim in
the lake. Every evening Barbecue dinner.
DAY 2
Start after breakfast, from Pangarh to village Daulatpura in
Madhypradesh. During ride one can see the water birds and different types of
birds in the month of Nov. one can see the Cultivation of Poppy fields in
the month of Feb. they can see the Poppy flowers and in the month of March
they can see how they collect opium form seed balls. Visit village Madikida,
Ranwatoka-Kheda lunch on route. overnight at Daulatpura in the evening have
rural cultural dance and music programs.
DAY 3
Start after breakfast form Daulatpura to Ramjriya a nce waterfall
with shiva t emple in the deuse forest our route will be half in the forest
and we will be crossing some villages. A and a nice temple known as Shagria
(Power of God). In the village one can see Milkmen know as gujar. They own a
plenty of cattles and land in the village. They play a very great role in
Indian agricultural and dairy economy. They wear colourful dresses., style
of trying turbans is also different from the other cast. This area was ruled
by Marathas king of Gawalier. Again the over night place in Rajasthan was
under Mewar state.
DAY 4 Start from
Ramjaria to Chotigawaliar a nice village having Mix cast people Rajput Bhil
and Rabaries. Houses traditionally made of clay, wood, bamboo and stone is
aften used in the construction of walls and floors which are plastered and
furnished with a mixture of clay, Cow dung and chaff of grains etc. floors
are decorated with various kinds of clay called Rangoli. The main female
dresses are Ghagara , Choli, Odhni, Kanchli. Over night at Choti Gawaliar

DAY 5 After
breakfast start for Bijaipur. Traditional welcome at Bijaipur Castle. During
the drink one can enjoy then selves with traditional tribes dance and music
and dinner at the castle. The area of Bijaipur in Chittogarh district is
full of forest cover green fields lakes hills. It is also one of the largest
rocky areas of Rajasthan. Bordering the vindhyachal hills and Deacon Plato.
It has retained it's charm of the past in it's décor and furnishing
yet has all the trapping of comfort and proper facilities. Castle Bijaipur
stands at a traditional hospitality.
Pageantry and Rajput Charm

hunting lodge just 12 k.m. from Chittorgarh Cdistance from hunting lodge to
Pangarh fort is about 35 k.m. The dam site is lovely with chance to angle.
If you like. Pangarh is an old fort now in ruins just below. It is a
charming lake full of Lotus. One can see the temple now submerged under
water every day horse ride is 35 to 40 k.m.
This area has number
of interesting things to see. Forest, temples, handicrafts culture, people.
The Charming nature with different types of birds and wildlife. Rao Sahib

Tribes and Gypsies----
TRIBE- Bhill--- The bhills are among the most primitive tribes in india and
a strong historic and cultural background . Their names is derived from the
world bhill which means bow , as the Bhils were said to be fine archers .
the bhils are mentioned in both the Mahabharata and ramayana Hindu epics for
their talent in archery.
Historically, the Bhils are highly
honoured in the Mewar state for their important role as soldiers aiding
Maharana Pratap singh in the battle of Haldighati for the freedom from
mughul Empireship of Mughul Akabar in the 16th century . They reside
Primarily in southeast Rajasthan , and can be visited near Chittorgarh ,
Bijaipur , and surrounding areas .
Currently , their main
occupation is the cutting of deat trees from the forest to seel in nearby
towns as fuel . The cutting are tied in the small bundels , and climbing
hill and prefer Walking . A walk of 5th km. Per day to sell wood in town is
not uncommn .
The bhills are also known for their deep and through
knowledge of wild life and of natural herbs and medicines . Most of these
herbs are found in the forest areas , and have great importance in Ayurveda
, the ancient system of natural medicine in india . Bhills collet some
specific legumes and herbal plants to prepare vegetable colouring .
The
bhill aiso collect Tendupatta or the leaves of a tree used to prepare Beddi
, the cigarettegs.
The bhills hunt Partridges , water ducks , and
rabbits using taditionally made spear , bows arrows . Fishing is conducted
with harpoons and spears they live in small huts near the forest far from
the villages , in an atmosphes reletively untouched by modernisation .
Customs and Tradition of Bhills; The Bhils have specific traditions
and a cultural life style Which differs from other tribes in india , and
sets them apart as one of the most intersting . They wear traditional and
colourful dress and turbens . The style of their dress and tying of turbans
as well as their colours are different from the other castes ans tribes .
Their ornaments are made of silver , copper , and brass.
Bhills
sing songs in the regional languages of Mewari and vagadi . Their dance is
accompanied by a rhythmic and melodious music made from local musical
instruments known as Thali a round metal plate made of brass , and Dhap and
Dholak a small drum made from wood and leather . The drums are two headed ,
and both sides are played . Their most popular and traditional dances are
known as Rai and gavari Rai dance is a detail story of the origion of the
univers . Gavari is a performed in the month of august and sepetember as a
dedication to Goddes gauri or Goddes Parvati , the wife of Lord shiva . Both
the Rai and Gavari are group dances .
Bhills are hard workers ,

HORSE SAFARI PROGRAMMES FROM
CHITTORGARH HALF DAY Program No.A:-
Leave from Chittorgarh. Visit Mohar Magri or Golden hill, a
historical artificial hill built by Mughal Akbar in the 16th century, during
the long seize of the Chittorgarh in the period of Maharana Udai Singh.
Story runs that in 1567 A.D. when Mughal Akber attacked Chittorgarh his
troops found it very difficult to enter in to the fort after their hard
efforts. They made a plan. As per their plan they went to the near by
villages and offered their scheme to the villagers with a condition. They
promised that each villager \ person will be given a Mohar (Gold coin) for a
basket of earth which he had to carry on his head and dump it on the
adjoining small hill so the height of the hill can be raised in order to fix
their canons on this hill so they could destroy the massive wall of the fort
. But none of the villager \ labor got any Mohar (Gold coin). Because as
soon as the person dumped the basket of earth on this hill he was shoot by
the Mughal soldiers hiding behind the bushes. In this way the hill was
raised and finally they fixed their canons there and destroyed the strong
fort wall. There after this hill is called Mohar Magri or the Golden Hill.
After visiting the Mohar Magri arrive at village Chittori Khera. "Chittori
Burj" was one of the four main important gates is located in the
southern fort wall. Village Chittori Kheda is named after this ancient gate.
Enjoy the ride through lush green fields.
Arrive at village Aral.
This small village is situated among green valley of the Vindhyachal
plateau, famous for fertile land and opium cultivation. Ride through the
historical battle field & and front side of Chittorgarh fort. En route
visit an old hunting lodge(Aodhi). Arrive at Hathini Aodhi(one more hunting
lodge) which was specially built for Rajput Queens & Princesses, built
in the period of Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur.
After visiting
this lodge ride for Chittorgarh town. Before five k.m. get off from the
horses and return to the hotel by Jeep.

DAY Programs No. 1 :- Leave from Chittorgarh. Visit
Mohar Magri (Golden Hill), village Chittori Kera, village Ghatiyawali lotus
lake, hunting lodges, and arrive at Kelzer water spring. There is an ancient
Shiva Temple there (lunch at Kelzer in thick forest). After lunch, ride to
an old shooting lodge, which was specially built for Rajput Princesses and
Queens in the 18th century by Udaipur Maharana. Back to town (Distance
approx 35 k.m.)
Programs No.2 :- Leave from
Chittorgarh for village Samelpura, Achora Arrive at village Nagri, the
ancient city of the Gupta period of the second century B.C. Visit ruins
temple, houses and "Hathi Bada" , large stable for elephants.
(Lunch at the side of river of Gambhiri). After lunch, ride horses towards
village Bhilia Kheda, visit and old hunting lodge, and back to town.
TWO DAY'S DAY 1:- Chittorgarh to Castle
Bijaipur ( approx. distance - 35 k.m.) Leave from Chittogarh for Hathni
Audhi. After visiting this lodge, continue to Abhaipura ka Ghata, village
Magodada, Barkheda Bhimpuria, Paler, Modia Mahadave, Daulatpura and Castle
Bijaipur (Lunch in route) Stay overnight at Castle Bijaipur.
DAY 2 :- Leave from Castle Bijaipur for
Chittorgarh via villages Kelzer, Bassi-Avalheda, Nagri, Achora, Samelpura,
Hathni Audhi and back to town.
