Day 01 Delhi-Pangot (Nainital)

Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner Drive in the morning to Pangot (7-8 hours). Afternoon birding with a guide near the lodge. Birding at Pangot & Baggar. One can see slaty-headed & red-breasted parakeet, grey bushchat, long-tailed & grey-backed shrike, common kestrel, besra, chestnut-bellied rock thrush etc. Streaked laughing thrush is a common garden bird here. Overnight stay at Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.

Day 02 Pangot-Abbott Mount
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner Early start for a 5½-hour drive to Abbott Mount through the Himalayan roads stopping en route for birding. One can see green-tailed sunbird, scaly-breasted wren-babbler, black bulbul, rufous sibia, black eagle, red-headed & Egyptian vulture, black-throated sunbird, blue-throated barbet, Himalayan woodpecker etc. You may see delightful Streak-breasted Scimitar Babblers in this area. Overnight stay at Abbott Mount Cottage.

Day 03 Abbott Mount - Munsyari
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner Drive to Munsyari (7 hours) in the morning stopping en route for birding. One can see white capped water redstart, Pallas's fish eagle, grey-headed & lesser fish eagle etc. More birds include scaly-bellied woodpecker, red-breasted parakeet, Himalayan swiftlet, stork-billed kingfisher and barn swallow. Overnight stay at Wayfarer Mountain Resort in thatch & stone cottages.

Day 04, 05 & 06 Munsyari
Meals: breakfast & dinner Three days in Munsyari to explore Gori river, Balanti Farms, alpine meadows, Kala Muni and Maheshwari Kund. One can expect speckled wood pigeon, spotted forktail, Himalayan griffon, streak-throated & rufous-bellied woodpecker, grey wagtail, rufous-gorgeted & ultramarine flycatcher, white-collared blackbird, variegated and streaked laughing thrush, oriental and large-hawk cuckoo, brown dipper, grandala, Himalayan snowcock etc.

Day 07 Munsyari-Vijaypur
Meals: breakfast & dinner Drive early morning to Vijaypur (6 hours), stopping en route to check out the thick oak forest just after Chakhori. Birding in Ramganga river at Nachani can be very rewarding for water birds such as river lapwings, waders, mergansers and other waterfowl. On the way to Chaukhori, we will stop at alpine meadows to look for Eurasian jay, upland pipit, grey winged blackbird, Indian cuckoo etc. Overnight stay at Wayfarer Retreat.

Day 08 Vijaypur-Ranikhet
Meals: Breakfast & dinner Drive to Ranikhet (6 hours) in the morning stopping en route for birding at Kausani. Rest of the birding around Ranikhet. Overnight stay at Trishul lodge.

Day 09 Ranikhet-Corbett National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner Drive to Corbett National Park in the morning stopping en route for birding at Kumeria. Corbett Tiger reserve has a spectacular avifauna diversity. Great hornbill, Pallas's fish eagle, grey-headed & lesser fish eagle, red-collared falconet etc. are some of the rare birds that are found in Corbett. More birds include tawny fish owl, scaly-bellied woodpecker, red-breasted parakeet, Himalayan swiftlet, stork-billed & crested kingfisher etc. Tiger Camp makes an ideal base for birding.


Day 10 Corbett National Park-Delhi

Meals: breakfast, lunch Morning safari to Jhirna range forest. You will explore the forest for Asian barred owlet, plumbeous redstart, Indian pitta, spangled drongo, yellow-wattled lapwing, lineated and blue-throated barbet, oriental pied and grey hornbill, rufous and grey treepie etc. Other species that are possible in the forest are crested tree swift, blue bearded bee-eater etc. Drive back to Delhi at noon. Arrive Delhi in the evening (6-hour drive).

Cancellation charges are 30 days before arrival date 25%, 21 days before arrival date 50%, 15 days before arrival date 90%, 7 days before arrival date 100% of the total itinerary cost.
