Detailed day by day itinerary Day 1: Jaipur
On arrival at Jaipur pick up and check in at hotel. In the late evening
proceed to Chokhi Dhani - a five star ethenic village resort (17Kms from
Jaipur) for traditional Rajasthani food served in traditional manner. Enjoy
folk dances, fire dances, music, Camel Ride and various other arts being
performed by various articians. Overnight at hotel in Jaipur.
Day
2: Jaipur In the morning embark on a full day sightseeing of
Jaipur. Visit Amber Fort enjoy elephant ride, Jaigarh Fort, Hawa Mahal,
Astrological Observatory, City Palace, Museums of precious and semi -
precious stones, colourful bazaars, and enjoy shopping of typical Rajasthani
handicrafts. Overnight at hotel in Jaipur.
Day
3: Jaipur - BharatpurIn the morning depart for Bharatpur (174 km).
On arrival, check in at hotel. Later proceed for the world famous Keoladeo
National Park. It is one of the finest bird sanctuary of the world with over
400 species of birds including Siberian Cranes from Arctic which are rare.
Keoladeo, the name derives from an ancient Hindu temple, devoted to Lord
Shiva, which stands at the centre of the park. 'Ghana' means dense,
referring to the thick forest, which used to cover the area. While many of
India's parks have been developed from the hunting preserves of princely
India, Keoladeo Ghana is perhaps the only case where the habitat has been
created by a maharaja. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel in
Bharatpur.
Day 4: Bharatpur - Ranthambore
In the morning start half day sightseeing tour of Bharatpur. Visit Lohagarh
Fort and the Palace. Afternoon drive to Ranthambore (250 kms). On arrival
check in at hotel. Ranthambore National Park is an outstanding example of
Project Tiger's efforts at conservation in the country. Ranthambore is
probably the ideal park for wildlife photography, and it does attract
professional wildlife photographers, from all over the globe. Apart from
tigers, the park has its share of panthers, too. They are to be found on the
outskirts of the park, due to the inevitable conflicts with the tiger
population. Kachida Valley, is believed to be the place to sight these
rather elusive cats. The other permanent residents of the park include,
marsh crocodiles, hyenas, jungle cats and sloth bears. Sambar are found in
abundance all over the area, the prime target of all the predators. Chital,
nilgai, and chinkara, are the other inhabitants of the region. Rest of the
day at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Ranthambore.
Day
5: Ranthambhore Enjoy morning and afternoon jungle drive that lasts
for two and half hours. Since you can opt for Canter or Open Gypsy and
photography is allowed you will get ample chances to catch precious moments
in camera. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Ranthambore.
Day 6: Ranthambhore - Jaipur - Onwards
In the morning enjoy jungle ride starting at 9.00 A.M. Later in afternoon
depart for Jaipur (145 km). Drop to Jaipur airport / station / bus stand for
onward journey.
