Tirupati

Tirupati is famous because of Lord Balaji ( Lord Vyankatesh) , Balaji temple is situated on Tirumala Hills near Tirupati ,Lord Balaji is known as Tirupati Balaji. Tirupati is divine city and its located in the southeastern part of Andhra Pradesh . Tirupati is located at a distance of 150 Kms from Chennai . Tirumala hills are part of the Palkonda Hills, Lord Balaji is also know as Lord of Seven Hills.

Tirumala hill of Tirupati is located approx 10-kms northwest of Tirupati town at 750 m height. Tirupati town is well connected by road , by train, by air.

Tirupati Balaji Temple
The Tiruipati Tirumala Balaji Temple is world's richest temple , Balaji temple is located on the seventh peak of Venkata Hills. Lord Venkateshwara is known as Shree Bala ji have followers in whole world. Tirupati temple is also mentioned in ancient Hindu Granthas. Tirupati is world famous because of this temple, Balaji temple is visited everyday by innumerable devotees.

Padmavati Devi Temple
The Padmavati Devi Temple is situated in Tiruchanur (5 kms) away from Tirupati town. This temple is dedicated to goddess Padmavati, the consort of Lord Balaji. It is said that a visit to Tirumala is incomplete without visiting the Padmavati Devi temple.

Sri Govindarajaswami Temple
Sri Govindarajaswami Temple is situated in middle of Tirupati city. This temple was consecrated by Saint Ramanujacharya in 1130 AD.

Kodandaramaswami Temple
The Kodandaramaswami Temple is also located in the heart of the Tirupati city. Lord Sita, Rama and Lakshmana are worshiped here. This temple was built the Cholas in 10th century AD .

Sri Kapileswaraswami Temple
Sri Kapileswaraswami temple is situated aprox 3 km to the north of Tirupati, situated in the base of Tirumala hills. This temple is dedicated to lord Shiva.

Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami Temple
Sri Kalyana Venkateswaraswami Temple is situated 12 km to the west of Tirupati at Srinivasa Mangapuram. It is said that Lord Balaji stayed here after his marriage with Sri Padmavati Devi, before proceeding to Tirumala Hills.
