Day1: Arrival in Goa. You will be met and transferred to the hotel in
Baga. Birding around Baga in the fields and from the balcony at the
hotel.
Day 2: Early morning depart for Morjim to watch waders,
gulls and terns. After lunch the drive is taken to Saligao springs
for a few forest species. Overnight at the hotel in Baga.
Day 3: Early morning depart the hotel for Charao island
and Mayem lake for full day birding in the area. Overnight at the
hotel in Baga.
Day 4: Whole day birding at Carambolim, Santa Cruz
marshes and the Dona Paula plateau. Overnight at the hotel in Baga.
Day 5: Early morning depart for Backwoods Camp at the
foot of the western ghats to spend 3 nights birding in the forests
and along the streams around the camp. Overnight at Backwoods camp.
Day 6 & 7: Birding around the backwoods camp.
Day 8: Depart early morning from the Backwoods Camp
for your drive towards Cotigao birding on route. Overnight Molyma
Hotel.
Day 9: Birding in the reserve till mid-day, after brunch
depart hotel Molyma, drive back to your hotel in Baga birding en
route to get back to your hotel before dusk.
Day 10: Birding locally in the morning on Cabanna hill,
evening birding at Fort Aguada.
Day 11: Early morning depart your hotel for a full day
birding at Bondla to get back to your Hotel at dusk.
Day 12: Boat trip up river for the collared Kingfisher.
Day 13: Morning spent birding on Baga Hill, evening
at the Candolim Marshes.
Day 14: Transfer to the airport for your flight back.

Birds that can be seen around Baga area are
White-bellied Sea Eagle, Red-wattled Lapwing, White-breasted Kingfisher,
Asian Koel, Black Drongo, Green Bee-eater, Malabar & Short-toed
Larks, Pied Stonechat, Coppersmith Barbet, Black-lored Tit, Blyths,
Paddyfield & Richard's Pipits, Purple & Purple-rumped Sunbirds,
Scaly-breasted & White-rumped Munias and Baya Weaver, Cinnamon
Bittern, White-breasted Waterhen, Pintail Snipe and Greater Painted-snipe,
Spotted Owlet.
Morjim Beach is where you can get a large numbers
of gulls and terns . Here you can see Caspian, Heuglins, Steppe,
Great Black-headed, Slender-billed & Brown-headed Gulls and
Great Crested, Lesser Crested, Caspian & Gull-billed Terns,
Greater & Lesser Sand Plovers.
Chorao Island, is very productive for waders which
may include Terek & Broad-billed Sandpipers and Temmincks
Stint, Western Reef-egret and Black-capped Kingfisher.
Mayem Lake - surrounding forested slopes are excellent
for birds such as Brown Fish-owl, Orange-breasted Green-pigeon,
Indian Scimitar-babbler, Yellow-crowned Woodpecker, Bronzed &
Greater Racket-tailed Drongos, Grey-bellied Cuckoo, Puff-throated
Babbler, Common (Nilgiri) Blackbird, Lotens Sunbird and Little
Spiderhunter. Overhead, Crested Serpent-eagle and Changeable Hawk-eagle
Carambolim Lake can be viewed from different points
for birds such as Indian Pond Heron, Cotton Pygmy-goose, Lesser
Whistling-duck, Comb Duck, Pheasant-tailed & Bronze- winged
Jacanas, Purple Swamphen, Great Spotted, Indian Spotted & Steppe
Eagles, Little Pratincole, Rufous Woodpecker, Ashy Woodswallow and
Grey-breasted Prinia. Brown Hawk Owl , Blue-tailed Bee-eater, Streak-throated
Swallow, Siberian Stonechat and Rufous-tailed .
Dona Paula Plateau - birds such as Yellow-wattled
Lapwing , Indian Robin , Tawny Pipit, Oriental Lark, Ashy-crowned
Finch-lark, Rose-coloured Starling and Jungle Myna, Greenish Warbler,
Plain Prinia, Greater Coucal, Banded Bay Cuckoo and Rufous Treepie.
Backwoods Camp - forest species and western Ghat
endemics such as Common Hawk Cuckoo, Malabar Grey & Malabar
Pied Hornbills, Indian Swiftlet, Crested Treeswift, Speckled Piculet,
Brown-capped, Pygmy & Heart-spotted Woodpeckers, Black-rumped,

Large Woodshrike, Large Cuckoo-shrike, Scarlet & Small Minivets,
White-rumped Shama, Blue-winged & Golden-fronted Leafbirds,
Black & Grey-headed Bulbuls and Crimson-backed Sunbird.
